Role Summary

The Process Auditor is responsible for executing process audits for the Maintenance and Engineering division at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role ensures internal processes meet regulatory compliance, company procedures, addresses process design weaknesses and makes recommendations for revision.

Key Duties

  • Applies auditing experience and good judgement to execute process audits, including reviewing process compliance, identifying process weaknesses, and identifying emerging risks associated with maintenance operations, compliance, or regulatory requirements.
  • Creates executive summaries of audit Findings and management’s corrective actions for the VP of M&E and his/her executive staff.
  • Partners with the Internal Evaluation Program’s audit team on selected audits.
  • With limited direction from leadership ensures airline safety and compliance best practices throughout the audit process.
  • Collaborates with the process integrity team and business stakeholders to recommendations during the process design stage regarding process design best practices, standardization and alignment.
  • Partners with the quality assurance team to analyze data, trends, and issues to identify potential process weaknesses and initiate audits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 2 years of auditing experience.
  • A Bachelor degree, or an additional 2 years of training and/or experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Excellent communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures.
  • Ability to conduct research and to utilize critical thinking skills to auditing processes.
  • Ability to apply what is learned on the job and QA principles/knowledge and can readily adapt to situations where there may be ambiguity in requirements or systems processes.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex issues that incorporate the needs of a variety of users.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience in a maintenance and/or engineering environment.
  • Strong background in airline operation processes and procedures.

  • Perform as Second in Command in the transport of passengers, mail, freight, or for other commercial purposes.

  • Minimum of 50 hours of flight time within the last 12 months.
  • A current First Class FAA medical certificate.
  • An FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must possess and/or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States.
  • Employees with non-U.S. passports also will need any appropriate travel documentation.
  • Excellent judgment, leadership skills, demonstrated command ability and maturity.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet email functions.

Role Summary

The Customer Service Agent is responsible for assisting guests with travel needs at Alaska Airlines (AS). As a member of the passenger service team, this individual contributor role responds to guest inquiries and performs various tasks in ticketing, check-in, and boarding areas.
