Job Summary:

We are currently in search of an Agent Service Representative. This position provides a single contact point for Agents/IMO’s who have questions or need assistance in facilitating business processes related to Product Knowledge, System Support, Licensing and Contracting, Commissions, Agent Debt, New Business or Underwriting. Contact Center Associates will facilitate tasks and communication across departments to ensure that agent’s needs and expected service levels are being met. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Agents/Independent Marketing Organizations with phone inquiries and the facilitation of items related to Licensing, New Business and Commissions/Debt.
  • Assisting Agents/ Independent Marketing Organizations with email requests for information or assistance.
  • Facilitating tasks/communication across departments to ensure the agents needs and expected service level commitments are being met.
  • Provide sales assistance including product and system information, running illustrations, placing orders and completing applications.
  • Make proactive calls to new/existing agents to persuade them to sell Americo.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Full knowledge of insurance contracts and insurance philosophy
  • Detailed knowledge of policy forms and agent contracting forms

Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President of Corporate Finance will have primary responsibility for directing the preparation of the Statutory and GAAP financial statements of the Company, financial analysis of results and the monitoring and implementation of new accounting guidance. The AVP will also direct the preparation of the Company’s financial plans in coordination with the Company’s actuaries.  They will also direct the activities of the Company’s reinsurance administration and accounting. The AVP will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will have interactions with senior management.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning, and Management

  • Manage the Financial Reporting and Reinsurance teams.
  • Develop the technical accounting knowledge, information management abilities and general career development of direct reports.
  • Make recommendations regarding adoption of new accounting guidance and summarize the implications on the Company.
  • Identify and implement process automation and other efficiency measures.
  • Determine accounting implications for all material business decisions.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory-basis financial statements.
  • Manage preparation of analysis of results communicated through internal management reporting
  • Manage other reporting to third parties (e.g. state insurance departments, rating agencies, etc.)
  • Review all financial statement closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
  • Oversee adoption and implementation of new GAAP and statutory-basis accounting standards.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Be responsible for financial systems, databases and software in coordination with IT.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage all external audits.

Financial Analysis and Projections

  • Coordinate with actuarial team in preparation of annual life company financial projections.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and key indicator reports.
  • Prepare or support preparation of ad hoc analysis to support senior management objectives.

Reinsurance Administration and Accounting

  • Manage the team responsible for reinsurance administration and accounting
  • Ensure proper reinsurance accounting and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure reinsurance administration systems are properly maintained

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 10 + years combined accounting and/or auditing experience
  • Life insurance financial reporting or auditing experience required
  • Familiarity with life insurance reserving and projection concepts
  • Previous experience managing accounting functions and groups
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and information systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills needed

JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a Business and Quality Analyst. The Business and Quality Analyst will split the role of a BA and a Tester.  They will create and execute a test plan per project.  They will also spend time taking a leading role in the analysis and development of projects with various areas of the company that will allow us to meet company objectives with innovation and efficiency while improving speed to market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quality Analyst: Review requirements, specs and technical designs to provide detailed feedback to the project team during the requirements phase of the project. Reuse and/or create efficient test strategies and test plans based on the scope and requirements.
  • Quality Analyst: Execute and maintain test bed for reusability and efficiency.  Provide metrics and feedback on issues found and tracked in defects.  Ensure quality results of technical implementation in business processes, analysis, modeling, and integration.
  • Business Analyst: Collaborate with all areas of the business and IT to elicit, document, and manage business requirements during the life-cycle of a project, including traceability and testing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the life insurance and annuity industry
  • Good skills with MS Office to chart, analyze, and document processes and business requirements (such as Excel, Word, Visio, etc) as well as Azure DevOps
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, presentation skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills, particularly non-judgmental (active listening) skills.
  • Good analytical, critical thinking, time management, and task management skills

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team at Americo. The Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining positive business relationships with IMOs and their staff.  They will work with assigned IMO accounts to help grow profitable sales results consistent with Americo’s overall sales goals.  The Account Executive will develop and implement a valid business plan with each IMO account to help them build their business with Americo.  They will plan and conduct sales meetings, and monitor quality of business to ensure business produced is valuable to organization.
