Operation Center Manager at BJC HealthCare Job Description
BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. BJC serves patients and their families in urban, suburban and rural communities through its 15 hospitals and multiple community health locations. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.
PD&C provides professional support for system-wide comprehensive strategic facility plans for the various campuses within BJC. Providing integrated design planning the group brings process excellence and standardization in planning including a reliable estimating, scheduling and cost forecasting system. They serve as educators for their customers bringing strong resources to the system, and reviewing all efforts with an eye towards environmental impact. The department provides the necessary selection, contracting, supervision, management and leadership of system-wide program management services for capital design and construction projects. They are accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining the policies, procedures and systems supporting capital projects executed to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction and increase the productivity and financial results of all BJC facilities. The department also provides leadership and technical direction in the development of program control, benchmarking and measurement standards that meet the demands of the strategic needs of BJC HealthCare
Responsible for the building automation system operation and optimization across the system. Functions include commissioning, optimization, data management, training and development of software to achieve positive outcomes and utility reduction impacting the total cost of ownership year over year.
- Supports the Facilities Engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
- Achieves ongoing approval across multiple departments as it relates to the adoption and amendment for system BAS standards.
- Manages the system utility report to validate efforts and inform Leadership.
- Maintains the system database for historical analytics and The Joint Commission required deliverables.
- Monitors vendor performance and makes recommendations to Leadership based upon documented data.
