This role receives guidance and training from workplace design team members. The Assistant Facilities Project Manager will assist in the management of facilities improvement project and support CAD technology in creation of designs and construction documents as appropriate. The level of work is considered entry level and staff will work under direct supervision. This position has no direct reports. This position will be onsite.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and manage all aspects of small space renovation projects and processes, including programming, planning, design detailing, construction documents and construction administration
  • Execute moves and manage small work order requests
  • Creates space plans and construction documents for projects throughout the Bank facility
  • Assists project managers to coordinate engineering requirements for MEP and structural systems design; integrates consultant information with architectural documents
  • Coordinates with in-house trades or General Contractor staff to successfully execute projects.
  • Serves as liaison among client, Facilities and vendors, including; conducting status meetings, communicating regularly with key stakeholders and responding quickly to problems and resolving them appropriately
  • Assists Project Managers in managing vendor and consultant relationships, may assist in providing guidance and oversight with respect to the General Contractors purchasing to ensure adherence to diversity guidelines
  • Works closely with Project Accountant to track costs of project, reviews invoices and correspondence and approves payment; summarizes financial status of projects
  • Supports Project Accountant in preparation of reports and adherence to project/bank goals
  • At the guidance of the workplace design team members, develop project schedules and budgets
  • Works closely with Contract Administrator and Procurement to specify goods and services and assist in the purchase, contract, installation and follow-up services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management or Interior Design or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Revit, MS Project,
  • About 3 years of related work experience

  • Excel and Word

In this newly crafted role in our company (Vice President Officer Designation) and reporting to our General Counsel, you will have the opportunity to build, establish and lead the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management function. You will have the opportunity to do this while establishing strong relationships and interacting with with a broad range of audiences including senior executives, internal audit, Board of Directors, our external auditor, and various other internal partners. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA.

What Else You Will Get To Do:

  • Build and lead the Enterprise Risk Management team (to include the existing business continuity and resiliency function) to help senior leaders across the organization make decisions while mitigating risks that complements and reinforces the SF Fed’s mission, strategic priorities and evolving culture.
  • Develop, establish, and communicate comprehensive, forward-thinking strategies for preventing and mitigating operational risks.
  • Direct and coordinate the risk reporting process, including gathering data from various sources, including the quantification of the organization’s risk appetite through specific risk limits, key risk exposures, losses, incidents and early warning indicators.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with the risk management community, including legal, internal audit, external audit, and the system’s risk management communities of practice.
  • Work with the business groups to appropriately manage risk by reviewing and assessing policies and protocols and making recommendations for modifications and improvements.
  • Identify risk associated with major initiatives as appropriate, including project activities, related integrations, and strategic activities.
  • Serve as the SF Fed’s liaison to the system’s enterprise risk committee that leads all aspects of the Enterprise Risk Management process and ensures alignment with organizational objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 12 + years of successful experience leading enterprise risk management and/or compliance programs.
  • Practical experience with the three lines of defense model application.
  • Experience within the financial services industry, Sarbanes Oxley and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly present information for decision-making purposes to a wide broad range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to communicate optimally with executive leadership and Boards of Directors.

Project Hamilton

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is developing a hypothetical central bank digital currency (CBDC) with researchers from the Digital Currency Initiative at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Titled Project Hamilton, this research will assist the Federal Reserve in more deeply understanding technology tradeoffs among design options, and will result in the open source publication of software to support central bank digital currency research. This position is a unique opportunity to be a part of this leading research effort between the Federal Reserve and MIT.

Job Summary :

The Director, Product Management for the Applied Fintech Research Division will forward the Federal Reserve System’s efforts to build, manage, and test software to further its understandings of digital currency. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, operations, policy, and design to continue our efforts to build a hypothetical general purpose digital currency.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Own product development for the FRBB on its hypothetical CBDC research
  • Strategically direct the evolution of the CBDC research based on input from engineering, operations,  design, and policy stakeholders
  • Integrate emerging engineering, design, and policy research into the product roadmap
  • Manage priorities between engineering, operations, policy, design, and other stakeholders to ensure successful execution of product
  • Define and analyze metrics to guide product development and progress of team and stakeholder efforts towards established goals
  • Align teams on a shared vision and steer execution on that vision.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3+ years of product management experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product, preferably in the digital currency space

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Capital Projects, the Senior Project Manager plays an important role in creating, optimizing, and enhancing the functionality, efficiency, aesthetics, and sustainability in our 1 million sq. ft. facility. The senior project manager provides advance technical expertise and leadership in engineering, construction methodology, project management, vendor management, project life cycles, and quality assurance. The senior project manager should be results-driven, responsible for the overall direction, oversight and financial control of Engineering and Capital projects, from project development, budgeting, scheduling, implementation, and project close-out. The senior project manager directs and supervises; project superintendents, engineers, architects, 3rd party inspectors & testing firms and general contractors, establishing operational priorities to ensure a timely and cost effective outcome, and coordinates work within the Bank’s professional environment.  The senior project manager interacts with people at all levels of the organization, our tenant firms, and external partners. The senior project manager needs to hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and needs to be hands on able to direct multiple projects at one time within their specific expertise and across the other engineering disciplines.

Principal Accountabilities

Take full responsibility to manage complex, high risk/high visibility, and critical infrastructure Capital Projects, with limited guidance or oversight, according to all applicable regulations and Bank construction standards and parameters to ensure desired outcome is achieved safely, within budget and on schedule. Provide advanced technical expertise, leadership, and oversight in all project aspects, from project development, budgeting, life cycle costing to reporting, buyout, project execution and project closeout. Coordinate architects, engineers and commissioning agents in developing project design documents and develop and /or review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and building standards and that drawings reflect required project outcomes.  Coordinate requirements analysis, design, and quality assurance activities for all assigned projects. Expedite, prepare, distribute, coordinate, update, and monitor all critical Project Documentation, including but not limited to plans, sketches, site logistics plan, change orders, master schedules, project progress reports, purchase orders and invoice approvals, OEM’s, as-built drawings, and equipment commissioning. Create effective scopes of work for bid packages; ensure contract documents and logs are established and maintained. Negotiate and prepare bid documents for the contracting of services and equipment. Identify competitive vendors. Negotiate change requests and prepare change management reports, estimates and other cost reporting documents; review monthly General Contractor pay requisitions against project percent complete. Develop and implement project controls, standards, and procedures. Identify project risks and independently develop mitigation plans.

Knowledge and Experience

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 15 years’ experience as a design project management engineer, managing complex construction, engineering, and sustainability projects, with demonstrable progression in leadership responsibilities. Certifications and certain specific training are also required: Engineering in Training certification, Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certification, Construction Specification Writer certification, OSHA 10 Construction Safety Certification and LEED AP accreditation. Professional Engineer designation, an advanced degree and other advanced training are preferred.

  • Must have advanced level expertise in construction methods and building codes, and significant experience overseeing contractors and subcontractors.
  • Must have demonstrable mastery of terminology, symbols, and standards pertinent to facility construction, and the ability to read, interpret and generate construction drawings, schematic drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Must have expertise in construction best practices and be committed to a continuous program of professional development.
  • Must be results-driven and able to identify, plan, and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities and deliver projects on time and on budget with minimal supervision; excellent time management and organization skills and impeccable attention to detail.

The Data Analyst contributes to our monetary policy and other economic research by providing critical data analysis and support to department researchers. The Data Analyst uses appropriate statistical and econometric skills to deliver cleaned, complex datasets and analysis of those datasets. Incumbents in this position demonstrate a thorough understanding of the economy and complex economic datasets by undertaking independent analyses of current economic issues and communicating insights in writing to economists and other senior Bank executives. Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide expertise in large datasets and deliver data in appropriate formats to economists and other researchers in response to research project requests. Use statistical packages (i.e., STATA, Python, R, and/or Matlab) to explore, organize, construct, run summary statistics, and analyze datasets with complex information.
