The Large Market Sales Consultant will be held accountable for the achievement of production standards as determined by the marketing plan for the specific Regional Group Office (RGO) Territory to which they are aligned.

Success will be determined based on the Sales Consultant’s ability to attain high levels of production through tenacious broker development and inter-organizational team relationship management. A Guardian Sales Consultant should be the resource of choice for brokers and their clients. These clients should view them as the benefits expert for all products that the representative is expected to sell in the given territory.

You will:

  • Consistently achieve or exceed personal sales production expectations established by management, as stated in the RGO business plan that is consistent with Group Profit Center objectives.
  • Develop and maintain multiple benefits brokerage relationships within assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain supportive and positive relationships with all management, peers, local sales support staff, with RHO teams and all other external partners.
  • Develop a clear understanding of our business and our diverse Group products.  Must gain a thorough understanding of our complex business relationships within the brokerage community and with the clients we service.
  • In conjunction with sales office and/or regional management, incumbent will assist in developing and executing the marketing plan for the RGO territory consistent with the Profit Center and Local Market strategy.
  • Implement and support new sales initiatives developed by Guardian to increase sales of existing products and/or develop sales of new products.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Guardian’s mission and Group Sales’ strategic vision.
  • Occasionally be required to set-up new cases and participate in enrollment meetings.
  • Be required to handle all other reasonable duties as needed and as requested by management.
  • Achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of date of hire and maintain license through completing Continuing Education requirements.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • A BS or BA degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years previous group insurance sales experience or a combination of Guardian work experience, education and/or related extracurricular activities.
  • Ability to leverage all sales enablement technology, training and tools with proficiency in key technology platforms:  Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams; Concur; Tableau, Salesforce.
  • Ability to operate in a virtual environment and effectively build rapport virtually.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Depth of experience and knowledge of relevant industry products and processes including, but not limited to Worksite, LTD, Dental products and absence management, online enrollment, experience rating, dental network analysis processes.
  • Consultative Selling Skills and the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Virtual communication, presentation, consultative selling, and relationship building skills.
  • Team player with ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization and customer orientation.

Advisory Operations Specialist at Guardian Life Job Description

Position Summary

The Advisory Operations Specialist will Serve as the expert on all aspects of our managed account model management and trading platform, as well as all associated custody, clearance, and order execution processing. Managed account implementation strategies include Strategists and Rep as PM. The Senior Operations Specialist will intimately understand how our Portfolio Administration Technologies, Envestnet,Orion and our new digital partner, are used to facilitate a strategy, from proposal through to account investing. They will be expected to fully understand our policies and procedures around all aspects of advisory operations and be able to effectively communicate those to our IARs. The candidate will also work on various reports on a periodic basis which may include communication with different areas within the company. Contribute to operation’s holistic approach to driving growth efficiency across the customer lifecycle.

You are

A consummate professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are self-motivated and goal orientated, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where best in class customer service is your standard. You are patient, empathetic, detail orientated, and work well independently in a team setting.

You have

  • 3 or more years of extensive industry experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience. Securities license preferred (Series 7 or 6)
  • Knowledge of retail client onboarding/new account process, non-purpose lending and advisory products
  • An aptitude for multi-tasking, collaboration with others, and excellent time management/organizational skills
  • Possess a high degree of self-confidence, work independently and have rapid decision-making ability. Must demonstrate strong and analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate ownership and follow through when reviewing workflows, exceptions and anomalies and offer practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and creating Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations is preferred.
  • Experience in the managed account space, specifically with Envestnet or Orion systems
  • Experience with Pershing, Fidelity and Schwab custodial systems

You will

  • Possess a broad mastery of service and administrative functions, including in-depth knowledge of complex product features and processing systems.
  • Participate in our Quality Assurance program by reviewing processed items, reporting outcome and training according to documented procedures
  • Fully support operationally our Non-Purpose Lending program
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain metrics for measuring
  • Serve as point of contact for customer inquiries from our Investment Advisers, 3rd Party sponsors, and other internal Guardian teams
  • Assist with peer-to-peer coaching and education as it relates to routine, specialty or complex product features or processing systems.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across various platforms(such as phone, email) to respond to and resolve outstanding items.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments including: Compliance, licensing, operations, internal clearing firm, and 3rd Party Sponsors/Envestnet
  • Cross train with various Operations team including our Trading and Asset Movements teams
  • Complete operational tasks related to New Accounts and Maintenance items for the Pershing, Envestnet, and Albridge Wealth Reporting platforms.

The above description includes most significant duties performed. However, other occasional work assignments not mentioned are assumed to be included. Management reserves the right to assign and/or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time

Trading Assistant at Guardian Life Job Description

Are you looking to be part of a collaborative Investment team? As a Trading Assistant supporting the Investments group, your role and responsibilities will involve problem solving, leading change and possessing interpersonal skills in a culture where “People Count”. In this role, you will be working closely with traders and portfolio managers to support trade execution, order management, short-term cash investment, portfolio maintenance and pricing valuation. Effective communication and with data management skills are key attributes.

Candidates should have strong analytical capabilities and be comfortable in a position that requires detailed and quick thinking. Position involves shadowing traders, which includes interaction across front and back offices to ensure timely and accurate trade entry. Close communication with counterparty desks, overseeing the order management system, and all that is necessary to maintain a smooth, functioning trading process is an important element of this role. Other responsibilities include liaising with portfolio managers on managing the daily investable cash in money market instruments, as well as reviewing security pricing across a number of portfolios. Partnering and collaborating across internal teams such as quantitative research, accounting and compliance are also examples of how this position will accelerate impact within our organization.

    • Shadow and work directly with a number of bond traders during daily buying and selling process.
    • Update and share new deal information and pricing indications with the team.
