Entertainment Brand Marketing Director, Action Adventure at Mark Gordon Pictures Job Description

Role Purpose:

Develop and drive the entertainment brand marketing strategies for a cluster of brands within Hasbro’s entertainment brands portfolio and oversee the activation of plans in North America.  This role will focus on ensuring the successful execution of 360 marketing campaigns that develop brand awareness and affinity on a local level, working closely with partners including broadcast and licensees as well as wider teams across the Blueprint to ensure strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of entertainment brand marketing strategies within North America for brands within allocated cluster and responsible for overseeing the execution of plans in partnership with the Franchise, Toys & Games, Content Sales, Digital Gaming, YouTube & Social Media, Consumer Products, LBE, Promotions, Legal and Finance, ensuring local vision aligns with the wider global strategy.

  • Forward plan marketing strategies, campaigns and activations collaborating with all key leaders across the Blueprint, agreeing key priorities and focuses at the LOCAL level filtering down and ensuring the team are executing and delivering local brand marketing plans to the agreed calendar
  • Develop and deliver best in class consumer marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix to drive content, engagement and the commercial success of each brand
  • Monitor local market analysis, direct local brand marketing requirements for North America and deliver local franchise plans, marketing strategies and activations for a cluster of Hasbro’s entertainment brands portfolio
  • Collaborate with Global Franchise Brand Management Teams to ensure franchise plans are representative and deliver on the requirements that are needed to amplify the brands at a local level
  • Collaborate closely with Content Sales and Global Brand teams to ensure that the local entertainment brand content roll out strategy is set to local strategic brand priorities
  • Facilitate local blueprint long range planning for entertainment brands
  • Close collaboration with the LOCAL Licensing lead and LOCAL licensing and toy teams to ensure the alignment of business priorities, tiered strategies and appropriate cost planning
  • Collaborate fully with, and support, the local licensing teams across CP, LBE, Publishing, Partners & Promotions to ensure that priorities, focus, spend and revenue are aligned
  • Collaborate fully with the local Toy & Game marketing teams to align on priorities, ensure that priorities, focus, spend and revenue are aligned to wider business priorities
  • Collaborate and work closely with research, digital, social, YouTube, teams to support in developing marketing plans across the market, using data and research to set priorities, support plans and devise clear strategies.
  • Owning the strategic marketing relationships with all content partners (TV, SVOD, VOD, AVOD etc.), forward planning marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring the team executes content marketing plans according to the agreed calendar
  • Always be commercially aware of local brand health and performance, anticipating and driving opportunities as well as solving challenges both short/long-term to maximize commercial potential of the brands in your cluster
  • Act as thought-leader and local market expert for North America, sharing and leveraging learnings to inspire and align brand marketing strategies and activation plans across the Blueprint
  • Oversee local marketing calendars and rolling planners and team tracking tools ensuring they are correct and kept up to date to enable sharing across the wider business.
  • Oversee the development and continuation of brand activity trackers and marketing documents that will support the Blueprint at key retailer and partner meetings
  • Drive the analysis and compilation of campaign results and present to wider business.
  • Full accountability of the relationships with all local agencies, constantly pushing them to ensure we are getting a strong service and return on investment.
  • Local marketing budgeting and tracking, ensuring they are always aligned with licensing, Toy & Game priorities and projected revenues with a focus on objective ROI
  • Effectively forecast and manage annual territory budgets per brand, track and analyse costs.
  • Ensure day-to-day marketing enquiries are being actioned as required and support the business in sharing learnings to meet evolving organization needs.
  • Lead and develop the Entertainment Brand Marketing Manager to successfully activate the local brand marketing strategy across the Blueprint, fostering a culture of excellence in partnership and execution, spotting and developing talent for lead roles on upcoming brands in the future.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong, previous consumer marketing experience within the entertainment, consumer goods or licensing industry in North America

In this highly visible role, the Operations Coordinator will work directly with the CEO and support other leaders within the organization as needed. The Business Operations Coordinator we are seeking is quick-thinking, nimble, and is an independent multi-tasker with amazing administrative and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO as needed – arrange travel, complete expense reports, schedule meetings
  • Manage & coordinate internal and external meetings and events, including on-site employee events and off-site client meetings
  • Partner with IT Department to ensure successful setup of conferences/meetings
  • Prepare presentations and maintain employee directories and organizational charts
  • Develop strong understanding of the SHE Media products
  • Instruct new employees on office procedures and coordinate with Human Resources as needed for onboarding new employees and employment terminations
  • Manage SHE Media’s Community Contributors Program – recruit, onboard and coordinate projects between student contributors and managers
  • Handle purchase order and contractor invoice submissions via Concur
  • Other Ad hoc duties assigned by department managers
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years administrative assistance experience supporting C-Suite
  • 2+ years Media experience a plus
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
