THE ROLE:
Reporting to the School Managing Director, the School Receptionist serves as the point-of-contact for Miami City Ballet School office. The Receptionist provides support for MCB School and performs a wide variety of tasks to ensure effective and efficient outcomes for school staff and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration

  • Serves as point-of-contact for Miami City Ballet School lobby
  • Assists and cultivates trusting relationships with parents and students
  • Assists with student entry, dismissal, and hallway procedures, etc.
  • Provides administrative support for school staff as needed, recording attendance, filing and photo copying
  • Assists with Adult Open Division Classes, payment, check in, etc.
  • Assists backstage for School Spring performances as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in English, bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Reliability, punctuality, and responsible commitment to the program
  • Ability to effectively follow protocols of safety and oversight of children with a nurturing manner
  • Excellent initiative and an ability to proactively solve problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including a positive attitude and the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in education, dance or performing arts is desirable
  • May be required to sit, stand, or maintain physical activity for periods of time

Shoe Inventory Assistant at Miami City Ballet Job Description

  • Maintain inventory of all Ballet shoes as they are purchased and distributed to the Company Dancers
  • Submit a monthly report of the cost of shoes given out to Finance department
  • Unpack, price and shelve all deliveries of shoes as they arrive
  • Schedule and distribute the monthly allotment of shoes according to agreement with Dancers. Currently 2.5/week for women and 1.5 for men
  • Assist Company dancers with any issues they may have- be it sizing, brand or style – to assure correct fit
  • Special order shoes and boots for particular ballets
  • Manage the schedule for ordering Pointe shoes, coordinating manufacturer’s production time and fluctuating delivery schedule with our production needs
  • Assist MCBS students with sizing, style and fit to purchase our overstock shoes
  • Maintain a clear, detailed inventory of all overstock shoes available for sale and their pricing with appropriate discounts
  • Reconcile purchasing of shoe stock with Finance department
  • Update and post a monthly list of the female company member’s shoe inventory including all future delivery dates and the next order date

To further expand the Company’s mission, MCB seeks a Director of Corporate Giving (Director). The successful Director will develop and execute strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate support in partnership with the Chief Development Officer, Artistic Director, Executive Director, and Board of Trustees. S/he will develop an extensive understanding of MCB’s programming, educational, community engagement, and fundraising priorities and position these strategic priorities with potential corporate donors.

The Director will ensure the strategic, regular promotion of MCB in the Florida corporate community and spend at least 50% of his/her time on external, face-to-face corporate visitation. S/he will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a targeted list of corporations and direct the development of proposals to ensure quality control.

The Director will report to the Chief Development Officer. As a member of the MCB Development team, the Director will work in close partnership with the Artistic Director, Executive Director, and Board of Trustees members to cultivate and solicit corporate support.

Donor Relations Coordinator at Miami City Ballet Job Description

The Donor Relations Coordinator works closely with the Director of Development and relationship managers to ensure that all our donors have meaningful experiences with the Company. The Donor Relations Coordinator will implement year-round activities and touch points that deepen our relationships with our donors, which encourages them to continue and deepen their commitment to us. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ticketing and donor relations related items for members at giving levels of $3K+.
  • Coordinate VIP lists for all events and performances ensuring that each VIP experiences a high touch from appropriate staff.
  • Create research profiles for major donors and prospects for major gift staff.
  • Oversee the writing, production, and distribution of annual stewardship communications including a holiday card, year-end tax letter, and impact reports, including coordination with internal and external writers.
  • Work with the Director of Development to create and implement an annual stewardship plan for members of the Apollo Society.
  • Ensure all donors at the $3K+ level are personally welcomed by their relationship manager to the MCB Family.
  • Produce the quarterly impact reports (Relevé) in collaboration with the Director of Development.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Development and the individual giving team, including assisting with Tessitura contact reports.
  • Ensure acknowledgement letters are updated quarterly and work with relationship managers to personalize letters for major donors.
  • Coordinate with the Associate Director of Development Services and the Associate Director of Individual Giving to ensure all new donors receive a welcome series of communications.
  • Work with the Associate Director of Development Services to ensure that gift acknowledgement letters are sent within 24-48 hours of receipt.
  • Coordinate use of video technology platforms (ThankView) to ensure that identified donors receive video acknowledgements.
  • Assist in the production of annual giving campaigns, as needed.
