HRIS/Payroll Technical Specialist at National Football League (NFL) Job Description

The HRIS Technical Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering reports, integrations, analytics, and production configuration under the direction of the Director of People and Financial Applications, in collaboration with the HR Operations team. This role is responsible for facilitating the identification, design, and implementation of innovative and integrated HR solutions. The HRIS Technical Specialist is a champion of the Oracle HCM system, ensuring that the NFL continuously optimizes the use of this, and other HR owned systems. Further, the HRIS Technical Specialist will own the data governance processes and work with HR partners to ensure that NFL data, systems, and processes are consistent and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as HCM Solutions Architect, leading overall vision for HCM systems including use, enhancement, and continued evolution in support of the HR function
  • Collaborate with internal and external (managed service) resources to maintain and enhance the overall product and HR processes
  • Ensure that HR systems and processes are compliant with regulatory standards
  • Drive process improvement within the HR Centers of Excellence utilizing HCM systems; focus on automating data controls, reporting and simplifying current processes to be as efficient as possible

  • Interface with NFL IT project managers and stakeholders to successfully coordinate HR technology implementation efforts, including identification/discovery, design, construct / build, test, and go-live / stabilization phases
  • Foster and maintain successful, productive working relationships with NFL systems business partner stakeholders (finance / payroll, information security, information technology, and vendors / consultants)
  • Manage overall HR portfolio including: Payroll, Timekeeping (Kronos), Core HR, Goals, Performance, Learning, Workforce Compensation, and Recruiting; Serve as SME for Payroll and Time; manage ancillary systems such as Case Management, Integrations with background check, I-9, other vendors

Summary

The Contracts Coordinator/Paralegal is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of the National Football League’s commercial and other businesses. These activities, which may be highly confidential and sensitive, will require strong drafting, organizational, and technical skills. The Contracts Coordinator/Paralegal will work independently and serve as a liaison between certain business units (e.g., consumer products, sponsorship) and a team of in-house corporate and commercial attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate, accurately and in a timely manner, commercial contracts and related documents (e.g., consumer products licensing, sponsorship agreements, consulting agreements, venue rental agreements, non-disclosure agreements) from existing forms and update existing forms, as requested
  • Initiate drafts of basic amendments and other legal documents (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, RFPs, liability and publicity waivers and releases)

  • Provide user account access to live ingest and encoding environments.
  • Document, escalate, and manage live video distribution incidents to resolution.
  • Create and update operational runbooks for live on air workflows.
  • Maintain documentation of video acquisition scheduling and live event programing.
  • Setup and operate digital video cloud environments for Game Day Operations.
  • Provide live event support during the holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Perform quality control tasks for live video streaming.
  • Conduct training for preseason readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2-years of experience in Broadcast Engineering or in the field of Live Streaming.
  • Solid troubleshooting experience in live encoding environments.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of encoding standards, including H.264, AAC, GOP structure, I-P-B frame schemes, profiles, bit-rates, and aspect ratios.
  • Strong working knowledge of RTMP, HLS, and Live Encoding Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Live Event Sports Broadcasting
  • Knowledge of Ffmpeg, SRT, RTMP and HTTP Live Streaming Protocol.
  • Experience with Video Content Management Systems, Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), Live Stream Studio, Elemental, Teradek Cube, LiveU Solo or similar technologies
