Marketing Project Coordinator at Planterra Foods Job Description

Planterra Foods is a fully funded plant-based protein start-up in Lafayette, CO near Denver. It’s an investment by the JBS Company, the second largest global food company and the world’s largest protein producer.  Join us as we build the best plant-based protein company in the world!

We are seeking a passionate and self-starting leader with a blend of marketing and project management experience to join us as a Project Coordinator based at our Corporate Office in Lafayette, CO. This position will be responsible for project intake, planning, management and execution.  The Project Coordinator will interface heavily with Design, Brand, Innovation, Shopper, Partnerships, E-commerce, Sales and Operations teams.  This position sits within the marketing team and has the opportunity to be a springboard for future opportunities in design, marketing, sales and project management, pending interest, skillset match and performance.

A successful candidate must have a passion for executing with excellence, on-time and on budget. The Project Coordinator must have a curiosity and capacity to learn new tools and processes, and then implement them for greater creative effectiveness and efficiencies. Also, the Project Coordinator must be organized to manage a high volume of projects along with short term requests from multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project in-take process and utilize Screendragon software platform to manage work flows
  • Lead a weekly project meeting with the marketing team
  • Lead project in-take process with our project management software platform to manage creative workflow (Current system is Screendragon – familiarity with this, or project management tools is preferred)
  • Consistently follow-up to ensure projects are on track and on budget
  • Scope out work and create and own project calendars
  • Day-to-day execution of all creative requests and ensure all creative assets are delivered on-time, on-brand, on-strategy and on-brief
  • Gather necessary assets including copy, photography, videography and samples
  • Work with key stakeholders to assess and reassess project priorities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize each accordingly
  • Send regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status and secure necessary approvals
  • Serve as the connection between the creative team and cross-marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure all portfolio creative needs are met

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Intern or full-time experience across multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns
  • Agency (or internal agency) experience preferred
  • Experience with project management processes/tools
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Highly organized and process oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Strong design sensibility and enjoys working with creatives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with agency and cross-functional partners to lead creative development

We are seeking a Director of Insights and Category Strategy to lead Planterra’s growing Insights Group. This role will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Development to guide product innovation and renovation, accelerate category sales and share of our key brands in retail and food service through category and consumer insight support in alignment with our strategy. Other focal points will include a full spectrum of data analysis, consumer and category insights, assortment, and merchandising recommendations using category management principles to exceed targets.

This role functions as the category and customer expert to retailers, as well as category resource for the sales and marketing teams. This role will primarily work at our Lafayette, CO Corporate Office, with schedule flexibility and remote work available within the local area, more details available during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Category Management Principles and Consumer/Shopper Insights to achieve consistent sales growth, share targets, and profitable category/aisle growth strategy
  • Evaluate and plan assortment selections to the Customer by providing fact based category insights and shelf recommendations within key categories
  • Utilize Customer Specific Data to support brand and customer strategy
  • Utilize available technology (IRI, IRI Gateway, AC Nielsen, Microsoft Office) and other resources to track, analyze, and evaluate internal and external business (channel and consumer) trends and offer actionable insights to achieve category/aisle business growth goals
  • Evaluate promotional activities and recommend growth and efficiency improvements
  • Incorporate fact-based consumer and shopper insights to provide recommendations related to the plant-based protein categories
  • Analyze new item sales to track performance against objectives
  • Analyze account specific POS or available syndicated data and provide relevant recommendations to achieve share of shelf, market share, merchandising flow, and promotional objectives
  • Support and provide thought leadership to achieve share of shelf targets and succeed in points of distribution negotiations
  • Utilize Space Planning skills to build recommended POG with annual reviews/New Items launches, and execute item assortment optimization to achieve distribution, share of shelf, and shelf layout goals
  • Evaluate current category management strategies on assigned businesses.
  • Continually develop consumer and category insights
  • Provide visionary leadership to identify business opportunities/solutions for short and long term business decisions
  • Provide category, segment, consumer, and product intelligence to marketing team through retail visits/in-market knowledge of specific customer, as well as competition

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • We are seeking candidates with highly developed skills in the following areas; presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, sales, time management and project management
  • Required experience: 8+ years CPG relevant experience, Category Manager or Analytics, internal or field based
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize information from syndicated data sources to develop meaningful insights with solution recommendations
  • Technical skill set including Shipment and Consumption analytics experience
  • Prior Experience with Consumer Insights and other Primary Research
  • Solid understanding of category and customer management, and Working knowledge of retail operations to help make strategies come alive at retail
  • Ability to work independently as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners at various levels
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills with ability to influence external parties
  • Ability to travel (approximately 15%)

Corporate Customer Service Specialist at Planterra Foods Job Description

Planterra Foods is fully funded Plant-Based Protein start-up in Boulder County, CO. It’s an investment by the JBS Company, the world’s largest protein producer and the second largest food company in the world.

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist who will be based in either our Lafayette, CO Corporate Office or our Denver (Commerce City) Production Facility. This role will primarily work during office hours Monday – Friday, and offers flexible start/stop times.

The Specialist will process daily customer orders and will coordinate order processing with production, warehouse, transportation, sales and customers. They will ensure that each order is delivered on time, in full and invoiced correctly. They will also be the liaison for our customers and serve a support function to other internal teams. Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday (in office). The Specialist may be part of an on-call weekend/holiday duty rotation if needed in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between Customers and the Sales Team and other functions
  • Sending customers weekly updates and verifying customer requested price matches system price
  • Act as the daily point of contact with customers via telephone and email
  • Respond to customer issues/complaints such as transportation issues, product questions, invoice adjustments, credit, and billing questions
  • Confirm order acknowledgement in a timely manner
  • Maintain a weekly order/shipping schedule per customer
  • Report customer feedback and all customer complaints to management
  • Acquire familiarity with customer needs
  • Enter credits/deductions/complaints
  • Reporting, primarily in Excel, as requested
  • Resolve issues with the appropriate sense of urgency
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service strongly preferred

  • Maintain a positive attitude while identifying customer needs and resolving issues

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who will be based on-site at our Corporate office in Lafayette, Colorado. The Project Manager (PM) should bring their extensive experience delegating to, and communicating effectively with other team members. They will work directly with others to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The PM will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. Most projects will be cross functional.   • Own project timeline and execution across various innovation, renovation and continuous improvement projects
  • Create project plans and timelines and track projects managing critical cross-functional projects
  • Manage project timelines and milestones from project initiation to project completion
  • Lead weekly project meetings and track actions and activities for project success
  • Own the Stage-Gate process tracking all details through each gate
  • Meet with stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Delegate project tasks based on individual strengths, responsibilities, skill set and experience level
  • Track and report on project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2-3 years’ experience in project management
  • Food manufacturing or CPG industry experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet software’s collaboration and time management tools
  • Experience with process improvement and inventory control
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent professional communication skills
  • Stage-Gate experience preferred

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, 6 paid holidays
  • Base salary range of $75,000-85,000
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program

We are building our team and looking for General Laborers for our new manufacturing plant in Denver, CO (Commerce City area) who will help us create the best plant-based protein company in the world. The laborers will report to the Production Manager. Hours will initially be Monday-Friday day shift, but may adjust in 3-6 months based on production schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes product using tools (to include knives), manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Planterra’s Company product standards and procedures.
  • Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
  • Clean and organized work area.
  • Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
  • Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams.
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
