Essential Functions

Function: To lead CyManII’s engagement efforts by strategically targeting, recruiting, and onboarding a diverse portfolio of new members, and creating collaborative opportunities through innovative teaming efforts for current and new members.
Scope: Ensure that all of CyManII’s engagement efforts are successfully executed in compliance with federal and state policies.

Typical:

  1. Provide support in achieving the overarching vision and mission of CyManII related to engagement.
  2. Execute policies that support strategic business strategies and goals, and ensure compliance by directly aligning those goals with federal and state policies and
  3. procedures.
  4. Develop strategic academic, government, and industry partnerships across the nation by promoting the value-add opportunities for collaboration, and represent the vision
  5. and mission to drive CyManII’s value and benefits to its membership base.
  6. Organize workshops, events and board meetings with the Engagement Manager that are of the highest quality of planning, and strategically align the goals and objectives of
  7. each event with available resources to ensure successful execution.
  8. Manage effective communication between prospective and current members, vendors, executive leadership, and other stakeholders so no detail is overlooked during the
  9. engagement process for membership and collaborative events.
  10. Onsite event planning, execution, and marketing, as well as collaboration with applicable offices to strategize and coordinate participation in large-scale external
  11. events related to the institute’s mission. This may involve engaging members and collaborators at all levels and working in diverse teams to leverage high profile
  12. opportunities to present the organization to audiences across the country.
  13. Maintain a positive working relationship with all staff and consortium partners, and work interdepartmentally to determine organizational needs, including but not limited
  14. to; execution of membership agreements, contracts and service agreements.
  15. Oversee a variety of projects, including management of contact databases and outreach to a wide range of stakeholder groups.
  16. Supervise and provide leadership to the Engagement Manager and provide growth opportunities through a strong professional and interpersonal relationship.
  17. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Periodic:

  1. Attend and make presentations at conferences and workshops engaging current and potential members.
  2. Assist with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 25 years of related experience in government, business, cyber, or other related field.
  • 5 years of industry experience coordinating and executing successful recruitment efforts that add direct value to the organization.
  • Active clearance: TS/SCI FSP required
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven role with exceptional skills balancing competing deadlines and working efficiently.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Personal computer with Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional, web and videoconferencing equipment and other related applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working to protect against threats to US industry and academia.
  • Similar experience in industry or government.
  • Knowledge of federal and UT System rules and regulations.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Adobe applications for PDF creation, conversion, modification.

Working Conditions

This position will be primarily located:

Hybrid-Occasionally:  Primarily works remotely, but may work on campus on an infrequent basis (approximately four days or less per month).  Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.  Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.

Essential Functions Function:   To provide leadership and administration of the faculty, fiscal, and business operations related to Academic Affairs and Academic Colleges. Typical:

  1. Develop and carry out strategic initiatives related to college financial structure and health such as implementation of business service centers, IRM, differential tuition and fees, and use of funds.
  2. Ensures the area’s is accountable for compliance with Regent’s Rules, Handbook of Operating Proceedures (HOP), and Vice President Business Affairs business procedures.
  3. Advise and assist the executive leadership on development and implementation of policies, procedures, protocols and methods of improving administrative and financial operations related to colleges.
  4. Convene college financial leads at least monthly and works with them on common goals, standards and operating practices
  5. Serve as a resource and liaison to deans, associate deans, department chairs, and dean’s office staff providing consultation and advice. Build effective partnerships throughout the university related to administrative and financial matters related to colleges.
  6. Partner with Office of VP for Business Affairs for budget coordination, resource planning and financial planning related to the colleges.
  7. Actively involved as a key member of the University Financial team.
  8. Oversee and Department Manager for Academic Affairs Accounts
  9. Develop and carry out strategic initiatives related to the administration of faculty.
  10. Advise and assist the executive leadership on the development and implementation of policies, procedures, protocols and methods of improving administrative and business operations related to faculty
  11. Support faculty recruitment and financial obligations including postings, offers, start-up packages and special opportunity hires

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Seven years of professional experience in finance and/or business operations, to include five years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Effective communications skills with diverse communities of students, faculty, administrators and executives.
  • Senior level experience directly related to academic business and finance operations.
  • Experience managing key projects and initiatives with significant impact across the organization.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment.
