Aircraft Mechanic III at United States Department of the Navy Job Description

Airframe Mechanic:

As a government contractor, Vertex Aerospace requires all employees to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment in accordance with Executive Order 14042. Exceptions to this policy are granted on a case-by-case basis for those that request a religious or medical accommodation. The employee shall obtain and maintain designation as, but not limited to Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)/ Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), Low Power Turn up, Tow, Brake Rider, Hydraulic Contamination, HAZMAT, and Support Equipment licenses and certifications as deemed necessary by the COR. The contractor shall test, troubleshoot, install, remove, inspect, and repair, align/rig systems components and ancillary equipment as directed by the work center supervisor for the following T/AV-8B systems:

You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the Provost Marshal Office/Military Police Department of MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Responsibilities

  • You will respond to emergency calls, complaints, and other calls for service during the watch.
  • You will immediately respond to, and conduct, preliminary investigations relating to critical incidents aboard installations.
  • You will perform motorized or walking patrols of the installation.
  • You will coordinate with other law enforcement officials within regulations and where applicable.
  • You will conduct preliminary and non-criminal investigations ranging from minor incidents to more complex and serious incidents.
