THE ROLE

We’re looking for a highly organized and ambitious Sr. Ops Manager to help turn the NYC ops team into a global benchmark for efficiency, productivity, and culture. The NYC Ops team at Zoomo has quickly become one of the most important parts of the global organization, and leading it will be a challenge that is equally energizing, hard, impactful, and rewarding.

We need the person in this role who lives and breathes operations, is at home both in a spreadsheet and on the warehouse floor, and takes personally the responsibility to lead and develop a team. No job for our customers is too big or too small – whether working as a strategic sounding board for the Head of Operations, developing a performance management system, or moving bikes in our warehouse to improve a process flow. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of Zoomo’s exponential growth in North America.

You will apply your experience in team management, logistics, process development and optimization to establish Zoomo NYC as a global center of excellence: driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement to improve both the customer and employee experience.

You will get your hands dirty. If you’re looking for ownership and the opportunity to manage a team, deliver operations and build relationships, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Own city-level KPIs for customer experience, including uptime and bike availability.
  • Own site level KPIs for productivity, quality, cost, and safety.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve processes, including inventory management, tooling, logistics, and staffing.
  • Manage and develop the front line team of site managers, mechanics, technicians, and field logisticians.
  • Level up culture of 5S across flagship NYC facility.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years operational experience.
  • Ownership mentality. No job is too big or too small.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Self-starter. Excited by a growth environment and willing to try new strategies while keeping the focus on achieving results.
  • Thrive in rapidly changing, fast-paced, and ambiguous conditions.
  • Focus on getting things done without needing to rely on established processes
  • Data-driven and strong business judgment. Able to roll up your sleeves and analyze the data and pull key insights
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships with their team, cross-functional colleagues, and external partners
  • Ability to work at different altitudes – whether on the shop floor or in a meeting with the North American leadership team.
  • Start-up experience is a plus.
